Plagiarism Check
PIETAS: Jurnal Studi Agama dan Lintas Budaya is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and ethical publishing. All submitted manuscripts are screened for plagiarism before entering the peer-review process using Turnitin or other equivalent similarity detection software.
Authors are expected to submit original manuscripts that have not been published elsewhere and are free from plagiarism, self-plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, and other forms of academic misconduct. As a general guideline, the overall similarity index should not exceed 20%, excluding references, properly quoted text, and commonly used phrases. However, editorial decisions are based not only on the similarity percentage but also on the nature, source, and context of the matched content.
If a manuscript exceeds the acceptable similarity threshold or shows evidence of unethical publication practices, the editorial team may request revision, reject the manuscript, or take other appropriate editorial actions in accordance with the COPE Core Practices.
