Types of Manuscript

DEVOTION: Jurnal Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat accepts manuscripts that present scholarly contributions, evidence-based practices, and meaningful impacts in the field of community engagement and community development. The journal accepts the following types of manuscripts:

1. Community Engagement Article

A Community Engagement Article reports original community service, empowerment, or service-learning activities supported by systematic methods, implementation strategies, evaluation processes, and evidence of community impact.

Manuscripts should describe the community needs, objectives, intervention approach, stakeholder involvement, outcomes, challenges, sustainability, and lessons learned.

2. Community-Based Research Article

A Community-Based Research Article presents research conducted in collaboration with communities to address social, educational, economic, health, environmental, technological, or other societal challenges.

The manuscript should demonstrate a clear research framework, appropriate methodology, analysis of findings, and contribution to both academic knowledge and community development practices.

3. Service-Learning Article

A Service-Learning Article reports educational activities that integrate academic learning with community engagement to develop knowledge, skills, and social responsibility among students or participants.

The manuscript should explain the learning objectives, community collaboration, implementation process, outcomes, and educational impact.

4. Community Innovation and Technology Application Article

A Community Innovation and Technology Application Article describes the development, implementation, adoption, or evaluation of innovative approaches, technologies, or practical solutions designed to address community needs.

The manuscript should provide evidence of usability, effectiveness, community participation, and potential sustainability.

5. Review Article

A Review Article provides a critical analysis and synthesis of existing literature related to community engagement, community development, empowerment strategies, or applied knowledge practices.

Review manuscripts should present a clear methodology, comprehensive analysis, and identified research or practice gaps.

6. Practice Reflection and Policy Insight Article

A Practice Reflection and Policy Insight Article provides critical reflections, lessons learned, or policy perspectives from significant community engagement initiatives, institutional collaborations, or development programs.

The manuscript should provide analytical discussion, practical implications, and transferable insights beyond a simple description of activities.
