Archiving Policy

Educatum: Jurnal Dunia Pendidikan is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation, accessibility, integrity, and continuity of its published scholarly content. The journal maintains digital records of published articles, article metadata, publication information, and related journal documentation to protect the scholarly record from potential data loss.

The archiving policy supports the continued availability of published research and ensures that scholarly content remains accessible despite technological changes, system maintenance, platform migration, or other potential disruptions.

Digital Preservation

Published articles and associated metadata are preserved within the journal's electronic publishing system and maintained as part of the journal's official digital archive.

Educatum implements reasonable administrative and technical measures to maintain the availability, authenticity, and integrity of published content.

Digital preservation activities may include:

  • maintaining permanent digital copies of published articles and associated metadata;

  • performing regular backups of journal content, publication records, and system data;

  • preserving article identifiers, including Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs), where applicable;

  • maintaining the integrity and accessibility of published articles and journal issues;

  • supporting content migration to updated platforms, systems, or file formats when necessary; and

  • implementing recovery procedures to minimize the risk of permanent loss of scholarly content.

External Preservation Services

To strengthen long-term accessibility and preservation, Educatum: Jurnal Dunia Pendidikan may participate in recognized digital preservation services, scholarly repositories, or preservation networks.

These may include services such as the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), LOCKSS/CLOCKSS, institutional repositories, or other trusted digital preservation infrastructures when applicable.

Participation in external preservation services ensures that published articles and metadata remain accessible independently of the journal's primary publishing platform.

Long-Term Accessibility

Educatum is committed to maintaining continued access to published scholarly content as part of the permanent academic record.

Published articles remain part of the scholarly record even when post-publication actions, including corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions, are issued.

Any changes affecting the status of published articles will be documented transparently and linked to the original publication in accordance with the journal's Publication Ethics and editorial policies.

Author Self-Archiving

Authors are permitted to archive and share their published articles through institutional repositories, personal academic websites, academic networks, or other appropriate scholarly platforms in accordance with the journal's Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

Authors should ensure that:

  • the original publication in Educatum: Jurnal Dunia Pendidikan is properly cited and acknowledged;

  • the article DOI or permanent publication link is included where available; and

  • reuse and distribution comply with the terms of the applicable CC BY 4.0 License.

Preservation of the Scholarly Record
