Conflict of Interest

Educatum: Jurnal Dunia Pendidikan recognizes that conflicts of interest may influence, or may be perceived to influence, the integrity, objectivity, and transparency of scholarly publishing.

The journal requires authors, reviewers, editors, and all parties involved in the publication process to disclose any actual, potential, or perceived conflicts of interest that may affect the evaluation, interpretation, or publication of manuscripts.

Authors' Responsibilities

Authors must disclose any financial, institutional, professional, personal, or other relationships that could reasonably influence the research process, manuscript preparation, interpretation of findings, or publication decision.

Potential conflicts of interest may include, but are not limited to:

  • financial relationships, funding, grants, or sponsorship related to the research;

  • employment, consultancy, ownership interests, or affiliations that may influence the research outcomes;

  • personal or professional relationships that may affect objectivity; and

  • other circumstances that may create a perception of bias.

Authors must provide a conflict of interest statement during manuscript submission.

If no conflict of interest exists, authors should include the following statement:

The authors declare that there is no conflict of interest related to this research, authorship, or publication of this article.

Reviewers' Responsibilities

Reviewers must disclose any actual, potential, or perceived conflict of interest before accepting a manuscript review assignment.

Reviewers should decline the review invitation if they have:

  • personal, academic, institutional, or professional relationships with the authors;

  • direct involvement in the research being evaluated;

  • financial or competitive interests related to the manuscript; or

  • any other circumstances that may compromise impartial evaluation.

Reviewers must provide objective and independent assessments and must not use unpublished information obtained during peer review for personal or professional advantage.

Editors' Responsibilities

Editors must identify and manage any conflict of interest that may affect editorial decisions.

An editor must withdraw from handling a manuscript when they have a personal, professional, institutional, financial, or collaborative relationship with the authors or research that may compromise impartiality.

In such cases, the manuscript will be assigned to another qualified editor to ensure an independent editorial process.

Publisher Responsibilities

Yayasan Yuta Pendidikan Cerdas, Indonesia, as the publisher of Educatum: Jurnal Dunia Pendidikan, supports editorial independence and ensures that publication decisions are based on academic quality, research integrity, and ethical considerations.

The publisher does not influence editorial decisions based on commercial, institutional, political, or personal interests.

Management of Undisclosed Conflicts of Interest

If a conflict of interest is identified after publication, Educatum: Jurnal Dunia Pendidikan will conduct an appropriate editorial assessment.

Depending on the nature and severity of the issue, the journal may take corrective actions, including:

  • requesting disclosure or clarification from relevant parties;

  • publishing a correction or disclosure statement;

  • issuing an expression of concern; or

  • retracting the article when the integrity of the published work is significantly affected.
