Author Guidelines

General Author Guidelines

Authors intending to submit manuscripts to Educatum: Jurnal Dunia Pendidikan are required to follow the journal's submission policies and manuscript preparation guidelines.

  1. Manuscripts must be written in English or Indonesian using clear, concise, and academic language.
  2. Submitted manuscripts must be original, have not been published previously, and must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere.
  3. Manuscripts should present original research articles, review articles, or conceptual papers that fall within the journal's aims and scope.
  4. All manuscripts must be submitted through the journal's Online Journal System (OJS). Authors are required to register as an author before submitting their manuscripts.
  5. Every submission undergoes an initial editorial screening, plagiarism checking, and a double-blind peer-review process before a final editorial decision is made.
  6. Manuscripts must be prepared using the official Educatum manuscript template, which can be downloaded from the journal website.
  7. Authors are encouraged to provide their ORCID iD during submission to improve author identification and research visibility.

Manuscript Preparation Guidelines

Title

The title should be concise, informative, and accurately reflect the content of the manuscript. It should not exceed 20 words, avoid unnecessary abbreviations, and clearly represent the main focus of the study.

Authors and Affiliations

Provide the full names of all authors without academic degrees or professional titles. Each author's institutional affiliation, complete address, email address, and ORCID iD (if available) should be included. One corresponding author should be clearly identified.

Abstract

The abstract should consist of a single paragraph of 150–250 words and briefly describe:

  • Background
  • Purpose
  • Methods
  • Results
  • Conclusion

The abstract should be written clearly without citations, tables, figures, or undefined abbreviations.

Keywords

Provide 3–5 keywords representing the main topics of the manuscript. Keywords should be separated by semicolons and should not simply repeat words already used in the title.

Introduction

The introduction should explain the background of the study, identify the research problem, review relevant literature, demonstrate the research gap, present the novelty of the study, state the research objectives, and explain the significance of the research.

Methods

This section should clearly describe the research design, participants or research subjects, research setting, instruments, data collection procedures, data analysis techniques, and ethical considerations where applicable. The methods should be sufficiently detailed to enable replication.

Results

Present research findings clearly and systematically using tables or figures where appropriate. Results should be based on analyzed data without unnecessary interpretation.

Discussion

The discussion should interpret the findings in relation to previous studies and relevant theories, explain the significance of the results, highlight the novelty and contribution of the study, discuss practical and theoretical implications, and identify study limitations as well as recommendations for future research.

Conclusion

The conclusion should directly answer the research objectives, summarize the principal findings, highlight the contribution of the study, and provide recommendations for future research. Avoid repeating information already presented in the Results and Discussion sections.

Acknowledgements

Authors may acknowledge financial support, institutional assistance, technical support, or individuals who contributed to the research but do not meet the authorship criteria.

Funding

Authors should clearly identify all sources of financial support for the research. If no funding was received, authors should state:

This research received no external funding.

Conflicts of Interest

Authors must disclose any financial, institutional, or personal relationships that could influence the interpretation of the research findings. If no conflicts exist, authors should state:

The authors declare no conflict of interest.

References

References should include only works cited in the manuscript. Authors are strongly encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley, EndNote, Zotero, or Reference Manager.

References should:

  • follow the APA 7th Edition citation style;
  • consist of at least 80% primary sources, especially journal articles;
  • prioritize literature published within the last five years, except for seminal or foundational works;
  • include DOIs whenever available.
