Correction and Retraction Policy

Jurnal Ilmiah Multidisiplin (JUILMU) is committed to maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of the scholarly record. The journal follows transparent procedures for correcting, updating, or retracting published articles when necessary.

Corrections and retractions are managed carefully to ensure that published research remains accurate, trustworthy, and valuable to the academic community.

Article Correction

JUILMU may publish corrections when errors are identified in a published article that affect the accuracy, clarity, or interpretation of the content but do not invalidate the overall findings and conclusions.

Corrections may include, but are not limited to:

• Errors in author information, affiliations, or institutional details.
• Minor errors in text, tables, figures, or references.
• Corrections to information that does not alter the scientific validity of the article.

Corrections will be clearly linked to the original article and will maintain transparency regarding the changes made.

Expression of Concern

JUILMU may issue an Expression of Concern when serious questions arise regarding the reliability or integrity of a published article, but the available evidence is insufficient to justify immediate retraction.

An Expression of Concern will remain associated with the article until the investigation process has been completed and an appropriate decision has been made.

Article Retraction

JUILMU may retract a published article when significant problems are identified that affect the validity, integrity, or ethical acceptability of the research.

Reasons for retraction may include:

• Fabrication or falsification of research data.
• Plagiarism or significant content duplication.
• Duplicate publication or redundant submission.
• Serious ethical violations involving research participants or procedures.
• Major errors that invalidate the findings or conclusions of the article.
• Authorship misconduct or undisclosed conflicts of interest that affect the reliability of the work.

Retraction Process

The decision to retract an article is made by the Editor-in-Chief based on careful assessment of available evidence, consultation with relevant parties when necessary, and adherence to publication ethics principles.

When an article is retracted:

• A retraction notice will be published separately and linked to the original article.
• The reason for retraction will be clearly stated.
• The original article will remain available with a clear retraction label to preserve the scholarly record.
• Relevant indexing and database services may be notified when appropriate.

Post-Publication Concerns

Readers, authors, reviewers, or other parties who identify potential errors or ethical concerns regarding published articles may contact the editorial office of JUILMU.

All concerns will be reviewed objectively and handled according to the journal's publication ethics procedures.

Ethical Standards

JUILMU follows internationally recognized publication ethics practices, including recommendations from the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), to ensure responsible management of corrections, expressions of concern, and retractions.
